Director Statement
I just want to make movies with my friends, that’s it, that’s all.
Director Biography
Keenan has been directing movies and shows since he was a wee one. He started by convincing friends to help put on puppet shows for reluctant family members. He quickly moved to DIY heist movies with friends, using his dad’s point and shoot. At 19, he co-directed and helped compose music for a touring circus show, all while continuing to make and fall in love with films.
After Graduating from L’École National de Cirque (The National Circus school) in Montreal, Keenan headed to New York City to pursue a career as a film director. Using his background in the performing and contemporary arts, Keenan landed a job at Saturday Night Live, wrangling and directing background actors on set. While working at SNL, Keenan has continued to write and direct budgeted short films, many of which have made it to several festivals.
