A Call for Creative Experiences

The Queens World First Amendment Film and Arts Festival is scheduled to run November 6,7 at the historic Zukor Screening Room at the Kaufman Astoria Studios and at various locations surrounding the venue.  Watch this space for more details.

We are asking artists, performers, filmmakers, poets, musicians, dancers, and creative thinkers to use the button below to submit work they would like us to consider including. .

We’re looking for short films, poetry, music, performances, interactive experiences, and other creative projects that celebrate one of the freedom included in the First Amendment .

Imagine:

  • A dance about the right to assemble.
  • A short documentary about free speech.
  • A poem celebrating the right to petition our government.
  • A jazz composition inspired by a free press.
  • A short film exploring religious freedom.

The First Amendment doesn’t just exist in history books or courtrooms. It lives on stages, in galleries, on screens, in rehearsal rooms, in classrooms, in public squares, and in the stories we choose to tell.

Because Freedom Needs Storytellers!

WHAT DOES THE 1ST AMENDMENT MEAN TO YOU?
