Meet the Queens World Jurors and Screening Committee Members

The Queens World Screening Committee is composed of filmmakers, producers, writers, educators, distributors, actors, and engaged community members, all selected to represent the diversity of our audiences. The committee includes both seasoned professionals and emerging creatives, whose fresh perspectives and familiarity with new technologies and trends help ensure that Queens World presents a wide spectrum of voices, storytelling approaches, and cinematic styles. We are not curating for the industry; we are curating for the audience, and for the art form itself.

The Queens World Jury is similarly eclectic, made up of experienced artists, educators, and industry professionals alongside rising talents. This balanced mix challenges traditional notions of excellence and opens the door to innovation. Led by Co-Founder and Artistic Director Donald Preston Cato, the jury evaluates submissions paying attention to  technical achievement, originality, resonance, and relevance. At Queens World, we celebrate the full range of cinematic practice.
