Director Biography

Diane is an artist, animator and writer based in nowhere in particular. She sees herself as a storyteller and an interdisciplinary artist, working with everything from creative writing, tactile drawing, to digital animation, focusing on the relationship between elements and ideas to reveal their meaning.

She is the winner of the Emil R. and Tamar Weiss Prize in the Creative Arts at Dickinson College, Carlisle, PA, for which she produced the 6-minute animated short, The Funeral. Her nomadic nature has given her a history of 8 zip codes, scattered across East Asia, Europe, and North America. She is currently in Rochester, NY, devoting her hours on drawing silly cartoons, dabbling on learning yet more random new skills, working part times (how many slices till it becomes a full sampler?), making progress for her MFA in 2D Animation, but most of all, just making things.
