Filmmaker’s Note

In making “Gabrielle,” I wanted to tell a story about a child who is bullied by an adult, and how that affects the kind of adult the child will then become. It takes a particular kind of strength to overcome bullying, and Gabrielle — together with her friend Camille — approaches it with grace and grit.
