Director Statement

Shot as a silent film with a skeleton crew, “Composure” is a duet between actor Emma Center and composer François Comtois of Young the Giant. The film was inspired by the isolation of quarantine and the works of Vincente Minnelli, John Carpenter, and Michelangelo Antonioni, among others.

Director Biography

Eric DePriester is the founder of Bear Elegance Productions and lives in North Hollywood with his dog Kobe. His feature film debut, “Treason”, premiered in 2020 through 1091 Pictures. Previously, he directed a stage adaptation of “Treason” at the 2019 Hollywood Fringe Festival, published short fiction and poetry, edited a travel guidebook in Vietnam, curated movie collections for Google, reviewed live music for Monster Fresh, and studied philosophy at Middlebury College.
