Director Statement

In January of 2021, my father was hospitalized for COVID-19. He was on a ventilator for 42 days and was in a coma for six weeks. He survived!
As a family member, one of the most difficult things during this ordeal was not being permitted to visit him in the hospital, due to regulations. We had to make do with what we could get – daily calls from the doctor and nurses, FaceTime on a daily basis with a nurse who would hold the phone up to my unconscious father while we told him we loved him and made lame jokes about our day, and standing outside his hospital window sending love as physically close as we could.
This film is my creative expression of what we went through.
