Shreya Ambatti is a rising senior at the University at Buffalo, pursuing a degree in Business Administration and Marketing. While focusing on business, she has also developed a growing passion for theater and film at the intersection of activism. She contributed to the Women’s Work Short Play Lab and Theatre from the Streets project at New Perspectives Theatre Company. Recently, Shreya embarked on a transformative four-month journey with Semester at Sea, visiting 11 countries spanning 3 continents. During this experience, she gained a deeper understanding of the world and had the opportunity to take a course on international theater, network with professional filmmakers, and co-direct/act in a satire film inspired by “The Office.” She is thrilled to continue her journey with the Queens World Film Festival, eager to learn and contribute to the world of film while advocating for its power and impact.
