Ian McFarland is a Brooklyn-based indie songwriter whose music explores the tension between connection and isolation in modern city life. Recent releases have received support from Apple Music (New in Rock, New in Alternative) and Spotify (New in Punk, Today’s Punk), as well as airplay on college and independent radio across the United States. He is also the creator and host of Sunday Scaries, a recurring Lower East Side residency that has become a gathering place for New York’s indie music community and serves as the backdrop for the new single, “Coffee Shops and Modern Rock” music video due out June 13th. McFarland performs on the guitar, concertina, banjo, and sings among other instruments.
