Kris Sorbie, it has been said, is the equivalent of royalty in the hair industry, and for twenty years was Global Artistic Director for Redken, 5th Avenue. She attended hair school in London back when Jesus was a baby and became a star student, after which she embarked on an award-winning international career. After creating the color technique Ombré, she moved to New York to push the artistry and business sense of hairdressers of all levels and abilities. She is a world-renowned artist and educator and has twice won Master Hairstylist of the Year at the North American Hairstyling Awards. Now, based in New York and in Oxford, UK Kris is currently developing a slate of international indie documentaries with her husband, Andi. She is delighted to be a part of QWFF 2020, and excited to be able to help a festival she has come to love for its diversity and rich multicultural sensibilities.
