Anissa Lopez is an Afro-Latina filmmaker and has volunteered with Queens World since 2018 when she joined the festival as an intern and then became a Festival Associate. She also assisted as a Filmmaker Mentor in selected school based filmmaking programs. She has created documentaries about the natural hair community and is interested in making more films for and by people of color.
