The Queens World Film Festival, New York Women in Film and Television, Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, The Gaia Zine and Epicenter – NY proudly announce PASSION in ACTION, a day-long mentoring event to bring high school and college students together with Passionate Professionals in the Arts, Sciences, Finance, Women’s Sports, Nonprofit Sectors and More.

The morning session of this day long event will concentrate on developing personal professionalism related to the arts including developing a mission statement, compiling ideas on how to promote your work and creating your back pocket networking tool kit. The afternoon is devoted to a round robin speed networking event so that all attendees have the opportunity to spend 30 minutes with 3 different Passionate Professionals.

Rockefeller University alumnus Dr. Kambiz Shekdar, PhD invented the IPO-enabling Chromovert® Technology used to discover the non-addictive pain killer at the center of the Jan 2023 IPO filing by Chromocell Therapeutics as well as strategic natural flavors research with The Coca-Cola Company, Kraft Foods and Nestle resulting in consumer products commercialized by Fortune 500 companies.

Currently exploring structuring a JV in the UAE. The purpose of the JV will be to build a research engine in the UAE where large scale of implementation of the ‘conveyor-belt’ science will best realize its full potential, while helping to catalyze the biotech sector in the UAE. The goal of the JV will be to create new jointly-owned IP to commercialize via licensing to AgTech, Pharma and Consumer Goods companies.
