Jena Ellenwood is a writer, performer, and cocktail educator based in Astoria, NY. She is a globally recognized and awarded bartender, becoming the first American and third woman to place in the Nikka Perfect Serve in 2019. Jena teaches cocktail classes for Dear Irving and The Astor Center where she marries history, know-how, and wit in a wildly entertaining fashion. Her writing and recipes have appeared in Vinepair, Food&Wine, 50 Best Discovery, Wine Enthusiast, Imbibe and many other fine publications (and in a few awesome books). She is the subject of the documentary Last Call: The Shutdown of NY bars which screened at the Queens World Film Festival in 2021. Jena has performed on stages, streets, and in bars throughout NY with groups like The Living Theatre, Resounding, and the Queensboro Theatre Project. She is a Cash Cab winner, once was an extra in a Beyonce video and used to dance burlesque at The Slipper Room. In addition to QWFF, her short films have screened at the Museum of The Moving Image, garnering accolades from the Sparrow Film Project.
