J. Faye Yuan

J. Faye Yuan | 袁洁扉 is a curator, filmmaker, and writer based in Queens, NY. Her work explores the intersections of memory, migration, and public history. As the inaugural curator of the Queens Memory Project, she develops community-driven storytelling programs that bring lived experience into dialogue with institutional collections. Her practice centers intergenerational narratives and family archives as sites of historical inquiry. Most recently, she produced and edited The Other Side of Memory, a personal documentary following an adoptee filmmaker’s decade-long search for family and lost history in South Korea, which World Premiered as the centerpiece selection at Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival and will broadcast on PBS Independent Lens in May 2027.
