Director Statement

A throwback to the silent film era, Spiral is a love letter to a time when a story had to be told entirely visually, combined with a modern visual pop aesthetic. It is my ambition that Spiral follows in those footsteps from cinema’s history when movies could be just as effective without a word spoken.

Director Biography

Daniel Lonsbury is a filmmaker based out of Queens. After moving to New York straight out of high school, he worked every odd job the city had to offer, from canvassing the sidewalks with Greenpeace to the top of Rockefeller Plaza. But ultimately, his passion is being on a set, and after years of writing and producing other people’s projects, he makes his directorial debut with Spiral.
