Director Biography

Jillian Cantwell is an award-winning writer/director and multidisciplinary creator with a sharp eye for the hilariously dark and deliciously weird. Her work leans into bold, genre-bending storytelling—twisting familiar tales into something unexpected and unforgettable. Her work includes, GRETEL, which reimagines the classic fairytale in a uniquely modern format: a vertical film designed for social media, where it’s racked up 60k+ views across platforms. Before that, her horror-comedy short DRIP earned the Best Short Film award at The Lighthouse Film Festival (2019) and made waves throughout its festival run.

Jillian’s creative journey started in the kitchen—as a Food Stylist in NYC, whipping up visual magic on Food Network hits like Beat Bobby Flay. That early blend of craft and chaos led her into film and TV, where her work has since appeared on Viceland, HBO, AMC, Magnolia Network, Nickelodeon, Disney, The Spruce Eats, Tastemade, and in commercials galore. When she’s not filming something twisted and funny, you’ll probably find her styling your favorite food, talking to her plants, or haunting your feed. Instagram: @jillian_cant

Jenny Curtis is an award-winning actor, writer, director, producer, podcaster, and immersive creator based in Los Angeles, CA. She directed, produced, and performed in the hit audio drama SOLAR, starring Stephanie Beatriz, Alan Cumming, Helen Hunt, Danielle Pinnock and Jonathan Bangs. She is Associate Artistic Director, Media of Speakeasy Society, a highly regarded LA-based immersive company. Jenny is trained with a BFA in Acting from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). When she’s not acting/writing/producing/creating in general, she’s probably hanging out with horses. Or eating avocados. Instagram/Linkedin: @thejennycurtis
