Equal Opportunity is a short documentary where both teachers and students at schools in New York City are interviewed about their experiences in school, as well as their thoughts on the school segregation issue in the city. Discussed are thoughts on quality of education, lack of leadership from administration, prejudice from parents and the challenge of dealing with systemic shortcomings in our education system.

Director Statement

I made this with my friends, my ex-teachers and I wanted to show the experiences we went through. This is a very personal film to me, everything said by those interviewed are things I can personally corroborate. This is just a small piece of a much larger conversation we need to have, please take a moment after viewing to assess your place in changing the education system for the better. Thank you.
