Filmmaker’s Note

End of Summer was created to both translate a singular, real life event and the overarching emotional journey of my family as first-generation immigrants. As immigrants, we actively make the decision to venture into unfamiliar lands, with the hope to find a sense of belonging while battling an immense fear of failure. Having to navigate out of the unknown for the ones you love is the thread that ties this film’s characters together.
