With each choice they make, the weight of their actions grows heavier, and the line between right and wrong blurs. Dilemma is a gripping exploration of guilt, fear, and where unexpected paths can lead us.

Director Statement

At its core, DILEMMA is about the terrifying moment when everything changes—and how far someone will go to protect themselves once they believe there’s no way out.

What intrigued me most when bringing this story to life was the opportunity to explore morality not as a fixed compass, but as something slippery and circumstantial. The characters in DILEMMA don’t start out evil—they start out typical. They’re teenagers, they’re impulsive, they think they’re invincible. And then one accident unravels everything.

I wanted to create a film that feels intimate yet suffocating, with a sense of escalating dread that mirrors Madison’s psychological unraveling. The confined setting of the SUV, the starkness of the nighttime road, and the eerie quiet of the aftermath all serve to amplify the pressure these characters are under. Every decision they make becomes more consequential than the last—and yet, more believable.

The twist—that the victim is an escaped serial killer—offers a chilling moral question: If you did something terrible to someone even worse, does it still make you the villain? That gray space is where DILEMMA lives.

As a filmmaker, my goal was to keep the audience teetering between empathy and horror. I wanted the film to feel raw and immediate, like the kind of nightmare that starts with one bad decision and ends in irreversible tragedy.

This is a story about panic, guilt, power, and consequence—and the realization that once you cross a certain line, you may never find your way back.
