Starting August 1, 2026, THE DREAMERS AND I premieres on PBS

Congratulations to CID members Kenji Yamamoto and Nancy Kelly on the upcoming national PBS premiere of their powerful documentary, THE DREAMERS AND I, airing August 1, 2026, on PBS and PBS.org. Filmed over the course of ten years, the documentary follows three immigrant entrepreneurs navigating the promise, pressure, and pitfalls of Silicon Valley’s startup culture, offering a deeply human exploration of ambition, resilience, and the pursuit of the American Dream.

QWFF audiences will remember Kenji receiving our Best Director, Feature Length Documentary award, and Kenji and Nancy being honored as our 2019 Spirit of QueensHonorees. They returned to the Festival in 2025 to share this extraordinary work with our community, and we are thrilled to celebrate its well-deserved national broadcast. Congratulations, Kenji and Nancy!
