Preston’s Retrospective

An evening of short films representing over 50 years of filmmaking starting in 1972. From experimental work featuring an annoying violin to a dead man that doesn’t recognize his subway stop. This is Donald Preston Cato like you’ve never seen him!

Dangerworks presents “Last Wednesdays” a monthly screening series hosted by Sidecar Studios in LIC. Every month on the last Wednesday, this series brings the best of local short films and filmmakers together for a lively screening, with a full bar and snacks.  On Wednesday Night, July 30,  Donald Preston Cato, the Queens World Film Festival Artistic Director, will be the featured filmmaker along with a selection of his short films representing 50 years of truly independent filmmaking. Films will include: STRADIVARIUS TILT (1972) MY DAY (2013) DIRTBALL (1974) MY KANSAS (2013), DEAD MAN RIDES SUBWAY (2018).
