Synopsis
A terminally ill cable TV star drafts a fantasy novel as a desperate attempt to leave behind a legacy of significance. As cancer spreads throughout his body, the characters he creates and the relationship he forges with them leads him to come to terms with his insecurities and regrets.

I strive to make art that touches on the human condition, art that appeals to people of all different perspectives, art that leads with love. I hope to make films that start conversations and help moviegoers feel more understood. It is truly an honor to be considered to participate in your festival.
Director Biography
Lisa Angell is a filmmaker residing in Queens, New York. A Ramble Towards Rain is her debut feature film, starring Tony Award winner Gregory Jbara and Broadway stalwart Sherie Rene Scott. Lisa Angell has worked on the post production teams of docuseries produced for HBO and Netflix. She is fascinated by philosophy and the quest for truth as well as the nuances of what it means to be human. Driven by these curiosities, Lisa continues to pursue projects that help her better understand the world.
