The Queens World Film Festival, New York Women in Film and Television, Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, The Gaia Zine and Epicenter – NY proudly announce PASSION in ACTION, a day-long mentoring event to bring high school and college students together with Passionate Professionals in the Arts, Sciences, Finance, Women’s Sports, Nonprofit Sectors and More.

The morning session of this day long event will concentrate on developing personal professionalism related to the arts including developing a mission statement, compiling ideas on how to promote your work and creating your back pocket networking tool kit. The afternoon is devoted to a round robin speed networking event so that all attendees have the opportunity to spend 30 minutes with 3 different Passionate Professionals.

Anne Wichmann

Musician / Performance Artist / Curator at She’s Excited, Inc.

Anne Wichmann aka She’s Excited! is an award winning electronic music producer, performer & sound artist with more than 15 years of experience. She designs & produces interactive and immersive events that break down the barriers between audience and artists. Anne is passionate about creating works that are easily accessible: for audiences that aren’t familiar with new technologies and/or for people who cannot afford new electronic devices. Her works cover pressing topics like social bubbles, climate change & immigration. Anne performed and showcased at prestigious festivals e.g., in Austria (Ars Electronica Festival), Germany (DigitalAnalog Festival), Italy (Venice Off-Biennale) & the US (Art Basel Miami, MONDO NYC). She is the co-founder of the artist and curatorial collective XRE (Extended Reality Ensemble) and the co-founder of the digital monuments network ARora.
