Filmmaker, festival founder, and award-winning improvisational theater artist Katha Cato returns to live performance with Katha Cato Reassembled, a fully improvised one-woman show presented at The Local LICalongside a month-long exhibition of her textile and sculptural works. This audience-driven performance will celebrate connectedness and the process of remaking ourselves while serving as a fundraiser for the Queens World FIlm Festival.
Cato was part of New York City’s pioneering improvisational theater movement in the 1980s , however the last 15 years have been devoted to developing the Queens World Film Festival into a respected cultural event. Katha is returning to her roots for the evening and looks forward to welcoming you to the space. .
Cato’s artwork will be on view throughout March 2026. Tickets go on sale February 24.
