A Queens World
March 19, 2025

📅 Date: March 19, 2025
📍 Location: The Local LIC, 13-02 44th Avenue, Queens, NY
⏰ Time: 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Join us on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 7 PM at The Local LIC for a special evening of remembrance and reflection. Hosted by Queens World Film Festival, Queens Memory Project, and MetroPlusHealth, this event celebrates the work done by both Queens World and Queens Memory Project. First on March 19, 2020 Queens World became the first film festival in the world to stream online during the pandemic. Then in the early weeks of the pandemic lockdown, Queens Memory launched The COVID-19 Project to create a space for neighbors in the borough to share their experiences and connect with others through public programs, oral history interviews, podcast listening sessions, and other digital initiatives.
On Wednesday, MetroPlusHealth will make the evening extra special by sponsoring the tasty appetizers that will be on hand for all of our guests and there will be a signature cocktail and happy hour prices courtesy of The Local.
- Highlights from the Queens Memory Project, including stories of survival and hope.
- An interactive mapping installation to share your lockdown memories.
- A short film from Queens World Alumni and The Listening Tour Compilation with community members reflecting on hope and resilience.
- Happy Hour courtesy of The Local LIC.
