First Amendment Corridor

On April 17 at 5pm at Culture Lab LIC, Katha Cato invites guests to take part in First Amendment Corridor, an interactive, immersive experience that transforms a hallway into a living expression of the five freedoms of the First Amendment. As visitors move through the corridor, they encounter creative stations dedicated to speech, press, religion, assembly, and petition. Participants can leave messages for future guests, share concerns about issues that matter to them, suggest stories they believe need to be told, and document their participation with instant Polaroid photos. Each interaction adds another voice to a growing collective record created over the course of the evening. Thoughtful, participatory, and welcoming to all, First Amendment Corridor invites guests to reflect on the freedoms we share and consider how each of us can use our voice as part of the public conversation.
