Square Peg in a Black Hole

Ansgar Beck was born in Koblenz, Germany in 1993 at the tender age of zero. Some time later (2013 to 2019), he worked for the film production company Schall & Rauch, mainly as an editor. Since 2020, he has worked as a freelance media designer, video artist and as an assistant director for many fiction film productions. During that time, he also directed several short films and currently studies directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg, Germany.

Leonard Dick, born in Hanover in 1992, is a German actor, theater director, and author. After completing his acting training at the August Everding Theater Academy in Munich, he performed at renowned theaters such as the Munich Kammerspiele, the Residenztheater, and the Burgtheater Vienna. In 2019, he directed his first play, “Bent – Rosa Winkel,” and won second prize at the Spoleto Festival. He founded the interdisciplinary collective “Doris Crea,” with which he develops productions with a post-migrant focus. He is currently an ensemble member at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe. Leonard Dick also works as a guest lecturer in acting. “Square Peg in a Black Hole” is his first work as a film director.
