The Listening Tour 2024
In 2024, we renewed our commitment to reaching more communities across Queens. We welcomed our first senior center participants through Alpha Phi Alpha, spent transformative time with members of The Fortune Society, and interviewed education leaders at Flushing High School.
These visits expanded Festival Associates’ connections within the nonprofit community while strengthening their production skills and preparing them to enter the Queens independent film community.
Together, we interviewed 29 subjects and produced 21 compilations. We also delivered another drive of interviews to the Queens Memory Project, continuing to preserve these voices for future generations.
